Carriage Hill was founded in 1990 by Neil and Jodi Martin.
Carriage Hill Labradors began with a yellow male Labrador, Taylor whom we purchased from Sue Patrick of Kresland Kennels in Victor, NY. We went on to purchase three siblings from a repeat breeding a year later. Those two sisters - Tanya and Delta, and a brother, Tucker would become the foundation of our kennel and nearly everything here today goes back to these two sisters. When we looked to expand into chocolates, Sue again gave us a wonderful puppy bitch, Ginger. All our chocolates today go back to her in some form or fashion. Blacks were introduced to our kennel mainly through outcross breeding every other generation. We are so grateful to Sue for mentoring us and entrusting us with her wonderful dogs which became the foundation of what Carriage Hill is today.
Neil and I are both originally from Rochester, NY where we were both born and raised. In 1992, we relocated to Woodstock, GA where we began raising our family and Labradors. A few years later we found our dream property in Alpharetta, GA and established our farm there and enjoyed it for many years. In 2018, after Jodi joined Neil in retirement from Corporate Life the farm was sold and we moved back to Woodstock to a smaller and more manageable property that we could still enjoy with the dogs and horses for many years to come.
We are open to visitors by appointment only. Most folks visit with us and the dogs for 60-90 minutes. Wear old clothes - most everyone leaves with a paw print or two.
